Sara and Melissa's combined Yoga teaching hopes to provide you with joyful inspiration, clear instruction, deepening process for self-inquiry, and balanced sequencing. The morning classes will be active and energizing with key awareness on alignment and stability, as well as fun and new explorations in movements. The afternoon classes will encompass yin and restorative poses, as well as breathing and meditation practices. For this particular retreat we will be exploring the essence of Yoga practice and what that means for you. Come to discover or rediscover the meaning and purpose of your practice and how it can serve your body, your life, and your spirit. These classes are catered to and support all levels of experience.

The Ocean Rooms are bright and airy, with floor-to-ceiling glass doors opening onto a private balcony with an Ocean view. Comfortable and well appointed, each room has a sitting area with a futon. All rooms have en-suite bathrooms with natural bath amenities. Rooms are on high floors and require steps to climb.
Each room will have a king bed for singles or couples, or be arranged with two full beds for those that are sharing as roommates.
Garden View

Garden Rooms are either crafted in a Mexican style, with natural rock walls and hand painted mosaics; or with an airy Mediterranean feel with floor-to-ceiling windows that let in plenty of natural light and fresh breeze. Each room has a spacious en-suite bathroom with natural bath amenities. Located on the ground floor, they are easily accessed with either a few steps or a ramp, and are appropriate for anyone with mobility issues.

Guest Rooms are decorated in bright and cheerful Mexican textiles and colors, providing a cozy and well appointed option for those seeking simplicity and comfort. All rooms have en-suite bathrooms with natural bath amenities. Rooms are located on both ground level and third floors, either jungle or garden facing.
Each room will have a king bed for singles or couples, or be arranged with two full beds for those that are sharing as roommates.
Women’s Loft
$1990 – Twin Share with 3-4 Roommates - SOLD OUT
Guest Rooms with Lofts are a simple yet spacious option for 3 to 4 roommates in a double room configuration. The bottom level has two twins and a bathroom; the loft is accessed by a spiral staircase and has two twin beds. Some rooms feature an additional futon bed on the bottom level. Rooms are either facing the gardens or jungle.
The loft is not recommended for people with mobility issues.

Sara Easterson-Bond
Sara began studying yoga at Yoga Source-Santa Fe in 2005 and was hooked after one class. Now a Certified Iyengar Yoga Instructor at the Intermediate Jr. I level, Sara’s teaching focuses on bringing stability, balance, strength, grace and humor to the practice of yoga, both on and off the mat. In addition to her Yoga Source mentors, Sara has studied extensively with Senior Iyengar Teacher Patricia Walden; completing Patricia’s 2-year Teacher Training program in 2015. Sara has also studied with Geeta Iyengar in Pune, India.

Melissa Spamer
Melissa began formally practicing Yoga in 1993. She has completed more than six Yoga teacher trainings and has twenty-two years of teaching experience, leading classes, workshops, retreats and teacher trainings. Her love of Yoga led her to also become an Ayurvedic practitioner, massage therapist and licensed psychotherapist. Her approach to Yoga integrates her in-depth studies with such celebrated teachers as Angela Farmer, Victor Van Kooten, Rama Vernon, Shiva Rea, Kali Ray and training at the Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram. Her classes are inspired by the natural rhythms of the breath and fluid alignment. She will often infuse music and poetry into her classes as well as teachings on energetic anatomy and Yoga philosophy - to help guide each student on a journey into the art of living Yoga.
Refunds and Cancellations
If you must cancel your retreat, the required deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable, unless we can fill your spot with another participant, given sufficient time.
Full refund, less deposit, will be given before 90 days notice of retreat start date.
Cancellations made within 90 days of your retreat:
50% of the total amount (less deposit) will be refunded.Cancellations made within 60 days of your retreat:

Registration
To register for this retreat and reserve your space you must submit a non-refundable and non-transferrable deposit of $400 for single occupancy or $350 for double occupancy.

Getting to Mar de Jade
Mar de Jade is located in the small bay of Chacala, in the state of Nayarit, on the Pacific Coast of Mexico. They are 90 minutes by car north of the popular tourist destination of Puerto Vallarta.
We recommend flying into Puerto Vallarta International Airport (PVR). Once you book your airline tickets we will help you arrange a shuttle service through Mar de Jade. This shuttle service can range in price from $25-$120 depending on how many other people are riding with you.
Check-In is 3pm on Saturday March 19th
Check-Out is 11am on Saturday March 26th

Disclaimer
A couple of facts you should know before enrolling:
Mar de Jade runs different retreats simultaneously since it is a large retreat center. While our retreat will be running there will be two other retreats also happening at this beautiful resort. Your retreat will not be the only one happening at that time.
Mar de Jade is located in a tropical region of Mexico with lush grounds on the Pacific Ocean. There are harmless but sometimes biting insects in the tropics and this is to be expected when visiting a climate of this kind. At an ecologically aware resort, we all wish to live in harmony with the natural world. We recommend you bring bug repellent if you are sensitive to bug bites.
